Now that summer has officially started it's time to put together a tasty yet refreshing salad for those hot summer days! Kale is a great source of Calcium, Vitamin C, Vitamin A, Vitamin K, Fiber and it is filled with powerful Antioxidants. I created this salad one night after a long run out in scorching Florida sun. I wanted this salad to have a mix of greens, fruit, salt and nuts!
These days we have so many options for cardio. If you go to the gym and you look in the cardio area you will see a variety of different machines that are designed to help us do cardio. Sometimes, it can be a little daunting picking which machine to use... The treadmill, the stair stepper, the elliptical, the AMT, the bike, the pool. When people ask me what form of cardio is the best to do, I always say whichever one you actually do! The most important part about cardio is just getting out there and doing it.
Ah yes, the cold is finally upon us! Running outside is easy and a tasty hot soup is a delight for the senses. This warm, comforting winter soup will make you think it's summer with it's bright, tangy flavor! Using the some of best of what winter has to offer -- butternut squash and apples stored from the fall harvest -- combined with delicious southwestern spices, this sweet and sour soup has a vibrant flavor that will wake you up out of the winter doldrums while still giving you that hot, comforting bowl of soup you've been craving.
