
During your first training session at Zen Fitness, we will conduct a complete individualized Fitness Assessment to determine your current fitness level so that we can establish a baseline from which to measure our progress as we go along. We also want to make sure that we fully understand your goals for training so that we can design a program that will get the results you desire. The Fitness Assessment has both an exercise component and an interview component.
For the exercise component of the assessment, we will take you through some exercises that will test four levels of fitness:
The interview component of the Fitness Assessment is used to find out what you would like to accomplish with training, as well as to gather some history that might be helpful in developing a comprehensive training plan. In general, we want to know what your previous experiences are with exercise and diet, what physical concerns you have that we should factor into your exercise program, and what we should know about your health history. We also want to know in as much detail as possible what kinds of specific results you would like achieve in the course of your training.
Using the information gained in both components of the Fitness Assessment, your Trainer will develop a comprehensive nutrition and training plan to get you started.
