When I first came to Zen I needed to lose about 60lbs. I was really out of shape and had not done much physical activity. I was nervous about being in a gym setting. Randy made me comfortable right away and made workouts that were challenging, but still doable. Now he as me doing all kinds of things I never thought I could do. I am currently down 50 lbs… Only 10 more to go!
I’ve always had a passion for helping others and have been involved in sports pretty much my whole life. After dealing with multiple injuries while playing football in high school (including tearing my ACL twice and breaking my elbow), I quickly learned the importance of proper training. But It wasn’t until after I graduated high school though, when my cousin, John Oslager (Current Thenx Athlete) introduced me to calisthenics, that I actually began my fitness journey. Soon after, I further pursued my development of static strength elements, ultimately increasing my athletic performance through progression and consistency. With doing so, I realized that anything is possible if you’re willing to put in the work and began to learn the mechanisms behind physical fitness by becoming NASM certified, which consequently helps my (scientifically based) individualized programs transform my clients.
