Ceci Pratt, Yoga Instructor

I have always been a weight lifter/runner most of my life.  To be honest, I always thought Yoga was kind of silly and not something I really wanted to spend my time doing if I had the option of doing exercise or running instead.  A friend of mine then shared how effective Yoga had been for her in helping her become more flexible but also helped her become more calm and focused at work.  I was intrigued, so I decided to sign up for a class at Zen Fitness with Ceci.  I was apprehensive at first because my flexibility and balance are far from great, but Ceci made me feel at ease and always gives me alternative poses if I can't do something.  She is a really passionate instructor.  Four weeks later I am much more flexible, my body aches less, my balance has improved, and I am living more in the present moment.  I know that may sound silly to some people, but I really do feel so much more focused in my daily life.  My only regret is that I didn't start Yoga sooner!

Practicing a sport has been always present in my life which has made it a necessity to take care of my body so that I can always perform at a high level. Doing exercise along with a good nutrition and self-care play a big role in my daily life. I have played pro racquetball 3 years now.  I incorporated the practice of Yoga to my routine and I discovered the beautiful connection of mind, body and spirit. This was so powerful to me that encouraged me to attend yoga school. In 2016, I finished my 200 hrs yoga teacher training in Portland, OR.  When doing yoga, I cultivate health and wellbeing and I am passionate about spreading this practice to the world!

The 2015-2016 season, I finished in the top 16 of the LPRT (Ladies Professional Racquetball Tour) and that was very special as I saw my hard work paying off and motivated me to keep going.

Practicing yoga!  I practice Yoga a few time a day outside of teaching.  I love playing racquetball, reading a good book, my family and friends and traveling with my husband.  I also love that that there is always hope and the opportunity to make things better.
