Life creates an ample amount of opportunities for us to succeed with and having the capabilities of being prosperous with those opportunities begins with a solid foundation. That’s why I think having excellent mental health is the key you need to achieve or conquer anything!
I have been lifting weights since freshmen year of high school. Originally a means to gain size and strength for football I quickly fell in love with lifting. Now a student at the University of Florida, pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, I take a more wholistic approach to fitness. I have been training for six years and plan to continue as long as I can. I focus primarily on my health and having fun, as training is a wonderful break from my engineering school work. I love training, especially learning new ways to better both myself and my clients. I believe progress is the best way to keep myself and others motivated, both in the gym and in life. With this in mind I am always striving to push both myself and my clients to new heights.
I’m an average woman who wants to prove that even the average person can be extraordinary.
I never believed I was anything but average until I found body building. For the first time I found something that combined all my greatest assets including dedication, commitment, and grit. I found a discipline where there was a direct connection between the effort I put in and the results I got out. Five years since I started in the gym, I’ve accomplished things that even my family thought I couldn’t. It changed my values and made me want to pursue a more balanced and wholesome life where being active and eating healthy, whole foods is a priority.
I have been learning and training in exercise and the martial arts for 16 years, along with attaining a four-year degree in exercise science. Starting with Kung Fu at age 15, the learning process has never stopped. Group exercise, yoga, Kung Fu, kickboxing, Judo and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu have all been a constant part of the journey. I strive for constant betterment and thorough detailed instruction to help make each movement, exercise and technique to be as effective as possible. My goal is to provide each person with not just a workout, but knowledge they can use for the rest of their life.
I have been a personal trainer for over 5 years, but my passion for exercise and lifting weights stems back twenty-eight years. My love for athletics, sports and training started early as a varsity football player for 4 years in high school. I currently play basketball four to five times a week for the cardio, because I just love the game! My greatest reward is sharing my love for athletics and my training expertise with clients, watching them achieve results they never thought possible!
I've been training and counseling nutrition with my clients for 11 years. I've studied under numerous exercise physiologists, strength coaches, elite bodybuilders and nutritionists. This experience has given my the knowledge to help my clients achieve great success. I am also a bodybuilder myself and help other bodybuilders prep for shows.
I have worked out and been involved with a gym environment since I was sixteen years old. I love working out, getting stronger and feeling healthy. I became passionate and aware of the importance of good health when my mother was diagnosed with diabetes when I was young. It is my utmost belief that good health is something we all deserve and something we can all achieve. I am dedicated to seeing that my clients not only reach their personal goals… but attain their fitness level best!
Since I can remember, my life since has hinged on physical activity and a hardcore work ethic. After earning an MFA for sculpture from UF, I discovered that helping others achieve their goals through fitness, weight training and nutrition was the path for me. My life is defined by the activities I love--competing as a bodybuilder, long bike distances, snorkeling and exploring nature. I consider myself a teacher, and I love nothing more than sharing my knowledge and my lifestyle with others.
